In May 1920, workers at a locomotive workshop sent a train with 27,000 pounds of bread pulled by this locomotive to starving Moscow. The train with bread was received by the head of the Council of People s Commissars, and then presented to V. I. Lenin, who thanked all comrades for the bread. On the initiative of a local historian, the historic steam locomotive was found at the Dalvostokugol (Amur Railway) plant in 1957, returned to Chelyabinsk and exhibited near the Railwaymen s Palace of Culture on April 20, 1960, in honor of Lenin s 90th birthday. In 2017 it became clear that the monument had no owner. As it turned out, the monument is not listed in the balance sheet of the city garden, nor in the district, nor in the South Urals, nor in the center of historical and cultural heritage.
