44 is stored at the Colorado Railroad museum, dismantled. The parts are scattered around. The boiler and wheels are in sidings, and the cab is past the tracks.

Locomotive #44 is dismantled with the frame and wheels stored at a spur at the Colorado Railroad Museum and some of the other parts scattered between Denver and Canyon City. #44 and her sister locomotive #40 are for sale at a massive price of $1.76M. Both are awaiting restoration after sale.
