493 is currently being restored for use on the D&S! She is currently in a stripped down state.

According to John Norwood's books on the Rio Grande Slim gauge, 493 was numbered 1005 while in service as a C-41 on the standard gauge.  I know nothing of the other K-37 bases.

Self correction time.  493 is now in Silverton not 498 as I stated before.  Power for the trip was a K-28, probably 473.  She now sits along with the Casey Jones Railbus at the Freighthouse Museum.
