Hello, I have a picture of a relative u am told standing next to this Train with some sort of shrinners "logo? Emblem?" On its front. On the back is reads " Uncle Dan for Sid" Sid being my grandfather. I think I can recall grandparents talking about a member of family being an engineer. But not totally sure. Anybody know of a Dan??? Know this is an old posting. Thank you!

This engine was recently repainted by a local service club and it looks super.

To Karen Denbok: When was your Grandfather engineer of locomotive #2616? My grandfather was also an engineer of this locomotive and actually drove it to it's final resting place in Haliburton. I included my e-mail address if you wanted to contact me.

The "Alco-Brooks Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Numbers 49663 through 49674, Road Numbers 766 through 777, were shipped to "Grand Trunk" during February and March of 1911. All of the units were 2-8-0's and had a "Specified" total weight of 209,000 pounds. (This is not necessarily the "Actual" total weight)

About #2616 My grandfather was the enginer for that steam engine. I have very valuable pictures of his life as an enginer.

Give me a shout and when e-mailling put in the subject bar 2616 or something so if it goes into junk mail I will know its important
