Builder: North British Locomotive Company. Year of manufacture: 1905 with c/n 16805. Delivered to Army Field Railway Division 788 (Japan). Shut down in 1961. Displayed under cover at the JR West Japan Kanazawa General Vehicle Office Matsuto Honsho. Location: 36.53067558233988, 136.56898678686545

So typically British in style, this is a representative of class B6 of Japan Government Railways. The class ran to 268 examples, built from 1890 onwards.

The early locos came from Glasgow builders Dubs and Sharp Stewart, both companies that became part of North British Locomotive Company, who also built some. Later locos were built in Japan at Kobe.

Another loco from the class is displayed in Ohme Railway Park, Tokyo.
