Because of new ownership, the Fort Steele heritage town has not been able to find anyone to operate this locomotive, therefore it is stored but operational.

This locomotive appeared in the movie, "The Journey of Natty Gann" in 1985.

Had flues replaced in Spring 2008. Needs patch to repair thin boiler section. Repairs expected for spring 2009, will be running for 2009 season.

The Alco-Montreal Construction Number List indicates that Construction Number 65377, Road Number 1 was shipped to a "Messrs Cathels & Sorenson".

Can be seen in the movie Shanghai Noon starring Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson. It had a makeover done for the movie, had a different smoke stack and a wooden cow catcher up front, plus a different paint job.

#1077 is now at Fort Steele Heritage Town, just northeast of Cranbrook.
