Some notes on the ownership:  Arizona Copper Co. placed the order for C/Ns 814 and 815 at the same time, though 814 was for the Detroit Copper Mining Co.  It was their #2, and George Gamble was it's engineer.  Mr. Gamble (not M. R. Gamble) bought the engine from the scrapper to keep it from being destroyed, and later donated it to the museum.

By the way, AZ Coppper Co. #4 was C/N 815, not 814.  Apparently, the engine was scrapped about a century ago.

C/N 814 was ordered by the AZ Copper Co., but actually went to their neighbor, the Detroit Copper Mining Co., as their #2.  It has been heavily modified over the years, and often moved.  It is currently at the Adobe Mountain RR Park, north of Phoenix.  Drivers are 24 inch diameter.
