Just recently, the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugar Creek, Ohio made an announcement that they acquired this engine for the collection, and it is their 25th steam engine that they have ever acquired. Not only that, it is also the first articulated steam engine to be acquired by the organization.

The 1308 was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 31, 2003. It is the only steam locomotive located in WV that is on the NRHP.  Cass's steam locomotives are listed but they are on the NRHS as a district and not as an individual locomotive.     Tom Lambert Phone 304 736-7349.

I'd like to chime in that this locomotive is a shining example of how a cosmetic restoration SHOULD be done.  The paint job is well done and authentic, and the locomotive has all of it's appliances.  The cab is open and complete, with all of it's pieces intact other than the main steam gauge and low water whistle.

This locomotive has received a first-rate paint job in the late spring of 2003, and looks very authentic.  In good preserved condition, well cared for, mostly complete, and fenced for protection.
