Built by Schneider & Cie with c/n 4943 as a partner of GELSA (Groupement de Exportation de Locomotives en Sud-Amérique). Originally delivered to the Estrada de Ferro Carajás do Brasil as EFCdB "1453". The locomotive did not prove successful there and was sold to Bolivia as ENFE 555.
