Used in construction of Fort Worden in the late 1890s. In about 1910 the locomotive was valued at $30 delivered in Seattle. Sometime in 1911 it was buried as fill.

I just visited this locomotive Nov.2007. The park ranger was very nice and let me in the building to photograph it. Just ask at the park office to see it. It is stored in the old motorpool building.

The ranger told me that there have been plans to do a cosmetic restoration and put it on display but that has not happened.

This loco is not standard gauge as listed, but is 3 foot gauge. It is in poor shape with the firemans side cyl broken in half. It seems to be very complete (smoke box door is missing). On the floor near the loco are the sand dome, connecting rods, misc parts, and even the smoke stack.

Any photos or history would be great.
