CP 1098 has been cosmetically restored, repainted blue and renumbered 225 by the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern, its current owner. It has also been moved from storage and is now on display at the future site of "The Outer Station" in North Reading at the intersection of PA Route 61 and Bellevue Street.

Locomotive is in Port Clinton PA not Ohio. Also, Rail Tours no longer owns it.

I think that Reading and Northern is in Port Clinton, PA

Thanks Phil. I moved Port Clinton back to Ohio instead of the Ukraine.

Probably a glitch, but this engine is not in the Ukraine!

This engine along with all of George Hart's equipment in Jim Thorpe now belong to Andrew Muller, owner of the Reading and Northern RR.

1098 is stored in the old CNJ Jim Thorpe yard along with the rest of the equipment from the Rail Tours Inc. excursions.

This engine was bought by George M. Hart in February 1987. The 972 left Jim Thorpe for good in 1986. The 1098 ran for a few weeks in the fall of 1994, then again test fired in 1996, lastly test fired and run in 1998. Needs a TLC...

Engine is still at Jim Thorpe.
Orig. from Steamtown, probley sold at auction. AT one time it actually doubleheaded with Canadian PAcific #972 while in JIm Thorpe.

The 972 is in Strasburg getting rebuilt, and as to the reason for no firebox is apparently Lynn Moedinger is putting in a PRR styled Belpair firebox!!!

Actually this engine, #1098 is up in Jim Thorpe. As to it's serviceability I am not too sure. The 972 also a CP 4-6-0 and once operated by Rail Tours Inc., is the loco now owned by the Strasburg undergoing a rebuild as time permits.

This locomotive is no where near servicable. It is now owned by the Strasburg Railroad, and is entirely gutted, and without a firebox. They do plan on running it, at some point in the distant future would be my guess.
