Mid-Hants Railway operate preserved heritage steam engines between Alresford and Alton. Journeys further afield also take place. 850 Lord Nelson is on loan to them from the NRM.

It has a excellent collection of UK locomotives some very famous and rolling stock from the earliest days of railways from the steam age up to first generation diesels and electrics.
