The South Devon Railway, or SDR, is a seven mile former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872, which runs along the stunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes.

The National Railway Museum is the UKs award winning railway museum. It has a excellent collection of UK locomotives some very famous and rolling stock from the earliest days of railways from the steam age up to first generation diesels and electrics.
