The Wisbech and Upwell Tramway was a rural standard gauge tramway in East Anglia. It was built by the Great Eastern Railway between Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and Upwell, Norfolk to carry agricultural produce. The Tramway well known having now been immortalised in the Rev. W. Awdry famous "Railway Stories" (aka. Thomas the Tank Engine). The LNER Information site looks into the history of the line and its locomotives which No. 1626 is being rebuilt into a replica of one of the Class Y6 0-4-O Tram engines that worked on it.
