Detail of the right hand cylinder and valve gear on this Great War era eight coupled tank loco. These worked the light railways supplying the front line during the conflict and were much used in a wide variety of industrial, agricultural and extractive operations thereafter.

What is the purpose of this, mounted on top of the left hand tank?. Could it be a pump for lifting water to fill the tank where no formal supply was available, as would often be the case behind the front line of the troops.

Boiler mountings - the rear sandbox nearest the cab, although the pipe top deliver the sand is missing, and the steam dome on the right with the safety valves.

Inside the cab. Most fittings present. |It gives a good idea of what work on one of these locos would be like. Somewhat a rough life on the lightly laid track hear the front, you may imagine.
