The replica 'Locomotion' reprises the original's journey whilst running through Heighington on 31st August 1975 in the Cavalcade of locomotives marking the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

Here it is running towards the Hopetown site in Darlington before the main event when it crossed the River Skerne Bridge, just as the original 'Locomotion' did 200 years previously.
