Displayed at Railfest, 2012 in wartime black livery and number. Also in an incomplete state, but more problems were to come....

A sight that thousands of British enthusiasts have waited ten years to see. Phil has captured the 'Flying Scotsman' between Little Bytham and Corby Glen on its way from King's Cross to York on 25th February 2016.

In December 2006, the frames of the locomotive are seen in the workshop at the national railway Museum. Little did I think at the time that it would be another nine years before the overhaul would be completed!

3rd March 2016. With the protracted overhaul finally completed, and the loco returned to fully operational condition, it is shown displayed on the turntable in the Great Hall of the National Railway Museum, York

In 1985, this was the spare boiler which was parked at Carnforth at the time. Is this the one from 'Salmon Trout'? Notice the spare cylinder alongside.
