This London & South Western Railway class S15 is under restoration at the Mid Hants Railway. The boiler is stored out of the frames.

Inside the smokebox looking from the front tube plate towards the rear tube plate. No tubes in the boiler.

Before purchase for preservation the loco was sent for scrap to Woodham's yard at Barry Dock. Photo from 23rd march 1968.

No 506 displayed at the Mid Hants Railway's Spring Steam Gala, 29th April 2023. The sign on the loco 'Urie Locomotive Society' refers to the designer of the S15 class, Robert Urie of the London & South Western Railway.

This early example of the S15 class from the LSWR is shown restored in Southern Railway black livery at the Mid Hants Railway Spring Steam Gala on the 30th of April 2022
