This loco belonged to the Royal Navy and was in Singapore at the time of the Japanese capture of the island in World War 2. In this photo it is adorned with the flags of the Royal Navy (The White Ensign) and Australia, in memory of Commonwealth troops held as prisoners of war in the far east between 1941 and 1945.
