After a change of gender, and therefore, outline, 'Linda' lost her saddle tank and gained side tanks to become 'Thomas'!

Those small wheels of the Hunslet 'Austerity' are a bit small for 'Thomas', but it is a more convincing conversion than some. And it can always be deconstructed back again!

No. 26, NCB ex Maesteg on the K&ESR at Witttersham Road on 27 August 1989. As the other photos show 'Linda' has since been rebuilt to 0-6-0T, renumbered and named 'Thomas' in garish blue livery. What a shame!
