Restored and on display in the roundhouse, August 2019. All locomotive builders needed a works shunter, and so, naturally, they would build one. This was used at the Vulcan Foundry, Newton le Willows, Lancashire. What magnificent locos this must have moved in it's day both for home and for export.

The running gear is what you'd expect, but there's a big sand box to serve both axles.

Between the frames it's pretty basic fare with Stephenson's link valve gear on the rear axle driving vertical slide valves inside the frames.
