The boiler of this typical De Winton product with the regulator, centre, and the reverser to the right. The boiler pressure gauge is to the left hand side.

This unusual view, looking down on the loco shows the layout of the machine well. Ahead of the boiler on the right of the photo are the two vertically mounted cylinders with the main steam pipe from the regulator valve (on the left of the photo) at the bottom.

Sandwiched between the throws of the crank axle are the eccentrics and these are the eccentric rods for the two cylinders.
