National Railway Museum
The National Railway Museum is the UKs award winning railway museum. It has a excellent collection of UK locomotives some very famous and rolling stock from the earliest days of railways from the steam age up to first generation diesels and electrics. Includes some industrials and an export steam locomotives, prototypes, and a Shinkansen car. Site covers collections, news, special events and historical photos.

The London & North Eastern Railway Encyclopedia
The London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) Encyclopedia covers the 25 year history of the LNER from its forming during the 1923 Grouping Act of the big four railway companys in Britain to the days of British Railways from 1948. The site has the history and technical information of the LNERs steam locomotives and rolling stock in their glory days to todays survivors in preservation and new builds.

Head of Steam, formerly known as the Darlington Railway Centre and Museum, is a railway museum located on the 1825 route of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, which was the worlds first steam-powered passenger railway. It is located inside the station building at the North Road railway station in Darlington.
