I did some further research and it turns out that I was wrong about my previously claim that this locomotive was at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. I offer my humblest apologies for my error.

OK well when I visited the OERM this Spring, I found six steam locomotives there (as opposed to the five shown in this website). I asked where the sixth locomotive came from and they said it was this specific locomotive from Disneyland. If I, and the people I talked to at OERM, are wrong, then what is the sixth locomotive at OERM?

This locomotive is currently at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California.

formerly Barker & Lapine "Maud L" 0-4-4 built by Baldwin, then purchased by Cedar Point & Lake Erie and converted into a 2-4-4, and given a wooden cab then sold to Disneyland and restored with a new boiler and converted to oil. Named "Ward Kimball" and is operating since 2005

Engine #5 has had a problem of pulling over water and priming. Her throttle valve was raised, the level of her dry pipe was raised, and her injectors inside the cab were raised to the top of the inside of the cab. Number 5 now runs a lot better, but still tends to give the crew a hard time. It's a problem the engine had all her life, even in Cedar Point, and Baker & LaPine.

Maude has a new boiler and cab, but work stalled for a while at Disneyland (Anaheim) due to other priorities. Latest word is that restoration will be complete in time for 50th Anniversary of Disneyland in 2005. It will become #5, the "second" Ward Kimball.
