Delivered to, and accepted by, the DRG - Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft as No. 01 180 in 05/1936, the company becoming the DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn from 02/1937. In 08/1945 it was part of the RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Zone of Occupation, Bielefeld, that later merged to become the HVE - Main administration of the railways of the American and British occupation area, that went on, in 1949, to form DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn with the locomotive in the same identity. In 1960 it was rebuilt with a new boiler Jung 13024/1958, and in 1968 was computerised as No. 001 180-9, and continued working until withdrawn from Bw Hof in 05/1973. At the end of the following year it was sold privately to Ferdinand Stock, Bowil, Switzerland and in 05/1975 placed on display as a memorial in Bowil, Switzerland. and where it remained until 10/2010 (actually moved during 2011) when it went to the BEM - Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum e. V., Nördlingen in its original identity and where it has been operational since 2014.
