Loco built as 1594 in 1909, but carries plates of 1520 in 1907.

Is this Tubize 1594 or, as the late P Ransome-Wallis suggests, 594?

This Belgian loco is a tank engine development of the Class 17 4-4-0, itself derived from the Caledonian Railway Dunalastair III design. The whole look of the loco is British although the Caledonian never produced a tank engine version, which seems a pity looking at the lines of this loco
