Dale you are correct. The 4-6-4 is 3.1102 very similar number.

Am I (again ?) mistaken in thinking this is a 4-6-2 (rather than 4-6-4) locomotive, as also depicted in the excellent B&W photograph by Brian on page 178 of the late P R-W’s book in the French section entitled ‘Preserved Steam Locomotives of Western Europe’ ? It would appear that the locomotive was actually built at Blanc-Misseron (ANF), works. No. 421 in 1936 to later become SNCF No. 231 E 22.

In 2003 the loco on display was 3.1192.(see photo submitted) Could this be a misprint above?
