I agree with Ilford as I have it as Couillet 1522 of 1909.

This appears to be another mystery! The late P R-W had this recorded as being built by Henschel, the class of 160 compound locomotives being built between 1904 and 1909. However I can find no record of any of these still extant with this builder, nor any other large German producer. Several years ago ILFORD reported that this was in fact No. 1522 of 1908 (which fits) but did not name the builder. I would also, by date, concur that it is NOT by Couillet as currently stated. However, with further research it is not a million miles away from the 4-6-0 Class C built for Etat in 1909, 1541, so currently can only conclude that the builder is actually Batignolles in Bordeaux, for the PLM ?
