BNY 12 spent some time on a small tourist railroad north of Owego NY. It operated there until its flues failed, at which point it was sold to a museum.

I saw a video off of YouTube that this locomotive used to operate on a little excursion service out of a station somewhere during the 1980s pulling a commuter coach, and a caboose. It must have been a very fub thing to go and see. It was actually in the middle of population, but did not cross any busy streets. It was like right in the back corner of the suburbs where the smoke and noise from it would not bother anybody enough to cause a commotion, at least for a time. And, it had that homely type environment where there were very few if any employee only areas of the railroad. It must have been a neat little operation to see.
