This locomotive, now owned by the Colebrookdale Railroad, remains in Jackson, Michigan at this time.

This locomotive the Class J-3-b 4-6-2 No. 5030 which was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in Canada in 1912 for the former Grand Trunk Western Railroad has been purchased by the Colebrookdale Railroad at Boyertown, Pennsylvania. For restoration as part of their steam program there.

You should first check with whoever owns the park ( the city presumably )..then you must consider the engine may have leftover asbestos insulation that would for have to be professionally removed ( if more than just a top coat of paint is desired ).

I would like to get permission to run a community service program for nothwest high school to paint and restore this locamotive a treasure that is headed towards disrepair sudents at northwest need community service to graduate and there are a lot of talented kids that would love to be involved in this project along with the northwest district businesses

Who is  / are the care takers of this locomotive? Is there a RR club involved with the preservation or restoration of this beauty ?
