I am somewhat surprised that no-one, even myself, has previously picked up the mistaken builder identity of this locomotive; I.e. that it should initially have been recorded as Hunslet Engine Co. of Leeds, not as interpreting ‘HE’ as ‘Henschel’!!!! It was built for the West Galicia Railway and was named ‘SAR’ with no number. The latter merged with the Medina del Campo, Zamora, Orense and Vigo Railway which eventually became part of the Western Railway (Oeste) who gave it No. 191, where-upon, in 1941, it received it’s current RENFE identity.
