I also saw this locomotive while up in Maine. It is fully operational and running as the regular source of power on the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad. I saw it pulling a coach one day while I was there. I did not get to ride behind it though, as I had another placew to go. Interesting though, that that engine is a Vulcan engine, made in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, which is my very hometown which I still live in!

The number 3 is operating at the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad in Phillips, Maine.  She is on loan from the Maine Narrow Gauge.  Check the SR&RL's web page for her operating schedule. (I believe it is www.srrl-rr.org).
