The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway s "Hurricane" No. 8 will be one of several locomotives visiting the Kirklees Light Railway for there Steam and Diesel Gala on the 9th & 10th September.

Originally built as a 3 cylinder loco but, due to maintenance and reliability problems and excessive coal and water consumption, it was converted to a 2 cylinder loco by the RHDR in 1937 after the inside cylinder failed on a busy service train.
