Whilst its boiler is down at Leaky Finders works at Hele in Devon being worked on, the chassis of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077, along with its completed smokebox and cab are to visit its home at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway to be on display during their Railway 200 Cotswold Festival of Steam from the 24th to 26th of May 2025. The locomotive will be on display in the David Page shed at Toddington next to the Standard Locomotive 76077 Stand where members of the Standard Locomotive 76077 (owners of No. 76077) will be on hand to show members of the public around and answer any questions on the locomotive then. After the event No. 76077 will return to Locomotive Maintenance Services in Loughborough to continue with her restoration.

The boiler of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077, is to be sent to Leaky Finders works at Hele in Devon to be overhauled, while work on the locomotive continues at Locomotive Maintenance Services still.

The Toddington Standard Locomotive Ltd. owners of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077, have launched an appeal to raise £150,000, the estimated cost of overhauling the locomotive’s boiler, which is currently at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway’s Toddington depot. The boiler of No. 76077 is in good general condition, but some important work will need to be carried out. It is hoped that No. 76077 could be in steam by December of 2026. A brand new BR2A Type tender is to be built from scratch for BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077 following the successful purchase of a set of spare tender wheels from the Bluebell Railway to help with the restoration of No. 76077. Contruction of the tender is not expected to start until No. 76077 is back in steam as by then No. 76077 will be using a hired in tender which could be a BR1B type until its own is ready.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077 has reached a milestone in its restoration as the frames of the locomotive have been placed back on its wheels for the first time in 30 years.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76077 is being relocated to Locomotive Maintenance Services (LMS) Ltd at Loughborough for its restoration back to running order.
