BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73082 "Camelot", will be visiting the Severn Valley Railway for the very first time for their Autumn Steam Gala from the 18th to 21st of September 2025.

As a thank you for the visit of sister BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156 to the Bluebell Railway’s Giants of Steam in October 2022, BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73082 "Camelot" is to visit the Great Central Railway for the first time to be one of two visiting locomotives for their Winter Steam Gala on the 27th to 29th of January 2023. Like at the Bluebell Railway’s Giants of Steam No. 73082 will be paired with No. 73156 during the Gala.

73082 was steamed up and moved under her own power on 16th September. As well as receiving a fresh coat of paint, she now carries the late BR crest for the first time in preservation. She is now all set to return to service at the Giants of Steam gala on 8th-10th October.

The BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73082 "Camelot" has been taken out of service for a early overhaul on its boiler, firebox and motion that will see the locomotive return to service much sooner with a fresh 10 year boiler ticket.

For its first visit away from the Bluebell Railway instead of being moved by road low loader to the West Somerset Railway. No. 73082 "Camelot" has been moved there today surprisingly by rail! As the locomotive was moved on Network Rail metals for the very first time as it was hauled by a Class 37 Diesel today.

No. 73082 "Camelot" is also part of the line up of visiting locomotives at the West Somerset Railway as well from the 27th to the 30th of September 2018. This will be the first time that No. 73082 will visit another heritage railway away from its Bluebell Railway base.
