The Hunslet built ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 7138, has gone on loan to the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway for a 12 month stay and will be operating trains there for the 2026 season into 2027.

The Hunslet built ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47298, has been repainted into its early original LMS livery with the running number No. 7138 for the first time in since the 1930s. The now No. 7138 will make its debut in its new livery during the East Lancashire Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala from the 17th to 19th of October 2025.

The Hunslet built ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47298, will be visiting the Severn Valley Railway for the very first time for their Autumn Steam Gala from the 18th to 21st of September 2025, and this will be its first visit to another preserved railway since completion of its overhaul in 2023.

The Hunslet built ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47298 made a welcome return to traffic today at the East Lancashire Railway on a test run working double headed with ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway A Class 0-6-0 No. 52322, the test runs have seem to have gone well and No. 47298 is set for service again.

The Hunslet built ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47298 is due to returned to service this year in 2023 at the East Lancashire Railway following repairs carried out to cure its hot axlebox issue which happerd its return to steam following overhaul. No. 47298 is expected to be in service at the start of the 2023 season when the East Lancashire Railway reopens to the public from the 11th of March 2023.

The Hunslet built LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47298 has arrived at Bury shed on the East Lancashire Railway following completion of its overhaul at Riley & Sons Engineering Ltd. for testing at the railway before entering service.
