The ex GWR ‘Small Prairie’ 2-6-2T No. 5532, is still located at the Llangollen & Corwen Railway (which is the new name for the Llangollen Railway) at Llangollen, Denbighshire in North Wales, where its restoration is continuing on there still.

The boiler of ex GWR ‘Small Prairie’ 2-6-2T No. 5532 has been sent to Tyseley Locomotive Works for overhaul and to get No. 5532 steaming again for the first time since the 1960s.

The owning group have sold their other loco, GWR 2-8-0 2859, which provides funds for work to progress on the boiler. Replacement side tanks and smokebox have been fitted to the loco.
