The ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47324 will return to steam again this year in 2023 as the locomotive is in the final stages of its overhaul at Bury. The locomotive which is owned by a group of East Lancashire Railway members has slipped back with its overhaul due to Covid.

A appeal has been launched by the East Lancashire Railway to help fund the overhaul for ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47324 at the railway which it is currently under. Affectionately known as "Jimmy the Jinty" it is hoped that if funding can be raised No. 47324 could return to use in 2023. Details for the appeal are on the East Lancashire Railway’s website.
