@Joe Turner, the overhaul on No. 3803 will likely take two years or so depending on how the locomotive is as most overhauls take time and can not be rushed.

Built in 1942, at Swindon, to Collett’s modernised version of Churchward’s 2-8-0 design, the 28xx class, used for heavy freight particularly coal and minerals between South Wales and the Midlands. In 1947 this locomotive was stationed at Banbury Shed, and the next year was selected to take part in the trials between freight engines of the other regions of the newly nationalized British Railways, and made a very good showing. She was withdrawn in 1965 and is now operational and stationed on the South Devon Railway. 18th July 2007
