Ownership of the ex Slough Trading Co. Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1544 "Slough Estates No 3", has now been passed on to the Middleton Railway from the now former owners the Slough & Windsor Railway Society. The locomotive has has a good future with the Middleton Railway as part of their running fleet.

The overhaul on ex Slough Trading Co. Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1544 "Slough Estates No 3", has now been completed as the locomotive has been steamed for the first time since 2021, and is currently undergoing more steam tests before test runs at the Middleton Railway.

The former Slough Trading Co. Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1544 "Slough Estates No 3" has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul. Its last working at the Middleton Railway was a few days ago on a permanent way engineers train.
