With Days out with Thomas the Tank Engine events no longer taking place at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway for now, the ex NCB Twechar Colliery, Neilson Reid & Co. 1902 built 0-6-0T (Works No. 5710) No. 1 "Lord Roberts", has been repainted into Caledonian Railway Blue livery for the first time in preservation and will be made available for more use at Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway and possibly the heritage railway circuit as well.

Builder is correct, Neilson Reid & Co. was formed in 1898.

The former NCB Twechar Colliery Neilson Reid & Co. built 0-6-0T "Lord Roberts" aka Thomas The Tank Engine has made a successful steaming and moved for the first time after completion of its 3 year overhaul and will soon entering traffic at the Bo ness and Kinneil Railway.
