Originally built (as gauge 600mm) for Norddeutsche Affinerie (please also note spelling), Hamburg as their No. 6, that later became their No. 2 and, in 1936, fitted with new boiler BMAG No. 10566. It was sold in 1967 to a Carsten Recht, Wörter bei Handeloh and, in 1969 to the SKEG at Holm-Seppensen, being here 1969/1970. In 1971 it ran on the Kleinbahn Museum line, Deinste as No. 2 before going to the Bressingham Steam Museum, UK for eight years. In 1979 it went to Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway, Bedgar, Sittingbourne, Kent as No. 1 “BRONHILDE”. Further movements are already listed.

The ex Norddentsche Affinerie copper works Schwartzkopff built 0-4-0WT No. 1 "Bronhilde" has left the Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway as it has been sold to the Richmond Light Railway at Headcorn in Kent where the locomotive is now located. No. 1 "Bronhilde" is unique as its the only 2ft gauge locomotive built by Schwartzkopf to be preserved in the UK. Since its arrival at the Richmond Light Railway they have undertaken some minor boiler repairs and have the engine in steam a number of times and it performs very well on their line.
