Located at the Kent & East Sussex Railway at Tenterden in Kent, ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75008 "Swiftsure" has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul which is starting to get underway.

WD Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75008 "Swiftsure" is still located at the Mid-Norfolk Railway at Dereham, Norfolk. Where the locomotive is to stay on for the 2019 season there and will starting the steam running season early this year from March.

WD Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75008 "Swiftsure" has relocated to the Mid-Norfolk Railway at Dereham in Norfolk. Where it has gone on loan for the summer season to along side GWR 0-6-0PT No. 9466 as its airbrake equipment is useful for working on the Mid Norfolk Railways airbrake BR Mark II Sets.

The ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75008 "Swiftsure" has been rostered to take part in the Dean Forest Railway s Royal Forest of Steam event on the weekend of the 15th to the 17th of June 2018. Replacing a unavailable No. 34 "Portbury" from the Bristol Harbour Railway for the event.

The WD Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75008 "Swiftsure" is currently at the Dean Forest Railway where it has been since last summer. Its been having some work done on it there by Western Steam Engineering which has seen new boiler tubes fitted and work carried out on the regulator, steam brake and various fittings. Its also had a new smokebox door fitted as well. Its unknown if 75008 will return to the Nene Valley Railway or go on hire to another preserved railway for the 2018 season?

March 2006. Purchased by the Strathspey Railway so will be moving from one end of the UK almost to the other. Should be arriving at Aviemore this month.
