The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway 2-6-2 "Northern Rock", which is the most powerful 15inch gauge steam locomotive in the world, is visiting the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway for the very first time for their Autumn Steam and Diesel Gala weekend on the 17th and 18th of October 2026.

'Northern Rock' is now back in service. 2 sister locos were built, 'Northern Rock' and the other, 'Cumbria' which was shipped to Japan. Cumbria has a slightly different lines to 'Northern Rock'

Northern Rock was built in 1976 in Ravenglass works and is currently out of service for repairs.
