This engine originally came from the surry sussex and southampton, but than was sold to argent lumber in the late 1920s, it worked their with the 2-6-0 number 2 until the late 1950s.  Midwest Central Railroad purchased them both in 1960. The six under went a major restoration in 1971 and returned to sevice in 1988.
