This was originally HF 2308 delivered to Hanau. From 1919 it worked for Sophia Colliery, Hückelhoven as their No. 1, retiring in 1971. The following year it was purchased for the Aspen Valley Railroad, Texas as their No. 1 and in 1976 by High County Railroad, Golden, Colorado. In 2005 it was purchased privately by Peter Nott of Bitter Creek Western Railroad as No. 8 at it’s current location.
