Became, from 1925, DRG No. 99 535 through to 1949 when it then became DR, later No. 99 1535 until May 1968. It was taken Dresden the following month and remains there in it’s original DRG identity.

Loco no.99.535 is of interest as it is one of only three remaining Saxon Railway 0-4-4-0T Meyers which were not rebuilt by the DR in the 1970s. As a result the others were virtually new engines.

From Phils photo, this looks like its a Meyer type of articulated loco, judging by the location of the two sets of cylinders. They appear to be at the rear of the leading truck and at the front of the rear truck.
