Some sad news from the Jitong Railway as reports on SY Country website have said the boiler certificates on QJs 7038 and 7119 have now expired. Marking the end of the small heritage fleet and special charter trains along the Jitong line and the Jingpeng Pass. It now looks likely that 7038 and 7119 will be put on display at Daban depot with the other last remaining QJs now.

QJ 7038 is the 2nd locomotive that is still in working order on the Jitong Railway as part of there small heritage fleet for charter trains.
