No, she is not at a park. She is still at the Woodland Depot at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and 6th Street.

The other yolo shortline equipment was donated to the Sierra Railway. Did this engine go with them?

SP never owned any USRA 0-6-0's.

I think #1233 is a usra loco since it was built in 1918.

Hey out there,  Good to see that somone has some great info on this engine. I sure do miss this it. I never saw it run during my time with YSLRR, but I have spoken with the old engineer Bob Woods. He discribes this engine to runn so smooth that you would think you were on a cruise ship. The joint connections in the rails are about 27-35 ft. Away from each other, and somtimes there uneven, thus giving the classic rocking back and forth on the rails and the famus click clack on the rail. This engine is said to be smooth enough that it sailed over these uneven sections without any rocking.

WOW I thought the 1233 was still in use this comes as a shock to me. I thought the 1233 was owned by another group and leased to the Yolo. What is the status of the 1233 and the SP caboose 1156?

Sadly yes that is true. I'm am happy however that it will remain in the city, on display. I shure do miss that old train. I'm told by my old boss that the drivers have been replaced and should be trucked  to her old station soon. Well... I'm sure that she will be well taken care of, and I give my regards to the YSLR for all there trying, as hard as it was for us. I suppose this ebding will have to do.

The 1233 lease was not renewed by the Sierra Railroad (Yolo Shortline). It will go back on static display near the preserved Woodland SP Depot. Too bad.

Saw this Locomotive on 6-20-05, under tarps, no drivers. Hope the new RR owners will put her back together!
