Originally DRG No. 80 030 1929-1937, then the original DRB before being taken into SBZ Military Administration 1945-1949. It then was employed by the succeeding DB until withdrawal in 1961 at Scweinfurt. It then went on display at the Klöckner scrapyard on Königsborn, Bönen-Altenbögge, first as No.4, later No. 9. Later by a new company as No. D-724. It moved to scrapyard Robert Heinrich, Hamm in 1972 until being purchased by the DGEG in 1974 for BochumDahlhausen, and where it was in 2006. Former No. 80 036 is not extant in Germany.
